Dodge has announced that it will be simplifying the 2016 Dodge Dart lineup, reducing the number of models to three in order to satisfy small-car consumers who want performance as well as an affordable starting price, without compromising on features or style. There will be available appearance packages for those drivers who want a little sense of flair to their rides, too.

The three models included in the 2016 Dodge Dart lineup will be the Dart SXT Sport, Dart Turbo, and Dart GT Sport.
- The 2016 Dart SXT Sport: this model will be the new entry-level Dart model and it has a 2.0-liter Tigershark four-cylinder engine in it. It has tons of standard features that car buyers are looking for, such as remote keyless entry, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, Bluetooth capabilities, and 16-inch aluminum wheels.
- The Dart Turbo: this model is more for the driving enthusiast, with a 1.4-liter MultiAir2 Turbo engine and a six-speed manual transmission, the Dart Turbo features a sport appearance hood, dual exhast, and 17-inch Granite Crystal aluminum wheels—all standard.
- The Dart GT Sport: this model has decreased in price by $1,100 from the model it replaces (the Dart GT). It features a 2.4-liter Tigershark four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed manual or available Powertech six-speed automatic transmission.
