Earlier this week, FCA US LLC issued a press release announcing that the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is the recent recipient of a Top Safety Pick+ designation from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

Earning the institute's highest rating is no easy task. Vehicles must earn the highest score of "good" for all five crashworthiness assessments, and they must offer available front crash prevention technology that earns a score of "advanced" or "superior."

“Having sold more than 14 million minivans since inventing the segment in 1983, we know what’s important to minivan buyers,” says Tim Kuniskis, Head of Passenger Car Brands – FCA North America. “The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is the sum of all the knowledge we’ve accumulated about minivans and the people who are proud to own them. Among the things we know – safety is one of the most important purchase reasons and achieving the Top Safety Pick+ rating helps to establish Pacifica as the segment leader.”

In addition to its full suite of safety and driver assistance features, the Pacifica adds a number of available technologies aimed at improving the experiences of families. These include the Uconnect Theater entertainment system, integrated Stow 'n Vac vacuum, Stow 'n Go seats, and more.
